CLASSROOM ATTENDANCE AND PARTICIPATION:
Due to the nature of this course, classroom attendance and participation are important. Each student is responsible for
signing the attendance roster at each class meeting. Students with more then two unexcused absences will not be eligible to
receive an “A”. For excused absences please write a note to the effect.
WEEKLY ASSIGNMENTS:
Each week there will be a short written assignment coming from the Text Keys to the House, Tree, and Person. This will
be a one-page reaction paper. Subjects for the paper will include reading material, class lectures, exercises, films, etc.
The reaction papers will be worth 10 points each. It will be impossible to pass this course without turning in the weekly
assignments. Assignments and the pages are listed on the schedule.
QUIZZES
Quizzes will be multiple choice and cover the text material. 8 Quizzes are worth 10 points each for a total of 80pts.
MID-TERMS AND FINAL EXAM:
The final exam is mandatory for the completion of this course!
The midterms and final will cover reading assignments, lectures, films, exercises and other presentations. Midterms &
the Final are worth 50 points each. Approximately 25 points will be multiple choice based on text and 25 points will be written
based on classroom material.
PICTURE CARDS:
It will be to your advantage to hand in to me a 5X8 card with a recent, recognizable photograph of yourself in the upper
left-hand corner. Also include two traits or attitudes that you like in people, and two that you dislike. Print your name
and class time to the right of your photograph.
Picture cards are due June 23 .

Weekly Assignment: 10 Points Each (120 Total) Total Grade
Exam I: 50 Points 350 - 315 = A

Total 350 total points 209 = Trouble
There will be 350 possible points for the course. Your grade will be based on your cumulative score on the two (2) exams,
final exam, weekly reaction papers, class attendance, and participation. NOTE: All Drawings and or Writings produced in the
course become the property of Paul M. Pitner and will not be Acknowledged or return. Enrollment in this course constitutes
consent to use your work products.
